Our Park is located in perfect area for the Northern Lights catching; Snowy area by a lake, no light pollution and the area is well known for often bright skies and strong northern lights which makes it an amazing place to spend the evening! ✨
Many of the Northern Lights hunting excursions are also at the same area for the same reasons so something magical is there!

Northern Lights Activities
As soon as the sun goes down and it gets dark, the chance for catching Auroras starts.
During the Northern Lights Hours you can enjoy all the winter fun which are already included in the Entrance Ticket. If you want to make your holiday even more special, book our extra activities during the dark hours and you have a chance to enjoy it under the Northern Lights ✨

NOTE: Northern Light activities varies during the season because the times when it get's dark varies. From below you can check the times when it gets dark during the season. If you book an activity starting from dark time, you have a possibility to enjoy the activity with Northern Lights. Remember, Northern Lights are natural phenomenon which cannot be guaranteed.
When and how I can see the lights?
Northern Lights season begins during the fall. To see the lights, you need clear night sky and solar wind activity. Usually we can see the lights from September until April. Mainly the best days to catch the lights are the coldest ones, as the sky is clear. Also the light pollution from the city and street lights play a factor here: Less light pollution, better chances to see the lights!
Possible times to catch the Northern Lights
Here is simple list of average times that Northern Lights are possible to catch in Rovaniemi area. These are never 100% accurate, as days get longer during the spring. As soon as sun goes down and it gets dark, chance is there. Happy hunting!
