When and how I can see the lights?
Northern Lights season begins during the fall. To see the lights, you need clear night sky and solar wind activity. Usually we can see the lights from September until April. Usually the best days to catch the lights are the coldest ones, as the sky is clear. Also the light pollution from the city and street lights play a factor here: Less light pollution, better chances to see the lights!
Why Northern Lights Park?
Our Park is located in perfect area as we don't have these problems. Most of the Northern Lights hunt excursions come to same area as our park for these reasons. But why to sit in a car or parking place next to a road, when you can warm up in our Lappish Tepee's and have some fun winter activities while waiting! Or just relax in our cozy cafe and tepees.
Possible times to catch the Northern Lights
Here is simple list of average times that Northern Lights are possible to catch in Rovaniemi area. These are never 100% accurate, as days get longer during the spring. As soon as sun goes down and it gets dark, chance is there. Happy hunting!
